🎯 Purpose of the Role

This role focuses on ensuring profitability and sustainability of retail operations, while increasing overall sales performance across stores within the group. You’ll be a strategic driver of growth, supporting independent retailers and strengthening the SPAR brand.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage budgets & capital expenditure plans

Implement group strategies and retail concepts

Lead and mentor a team of Retail Operations Managers

Strengthen retailer relationships and performance

Provide advisory support across:

Store Operations

HR & Finance

Logistics & Merchandising

Drive sales growth across existing stores

Improve brand positioning and store development initiatives

Ensure profitability at distribution and retail level

Conduct feasibility studies and business analysis

✅ Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric Certificate)

Business Management Diploma (or equivalent)

Minimum 5 years retail management experience

Strong understanding of:

Store operations

Financial management

Retail strategy

Valid driver’s license (extensive travel required)

Proven leadership & relationship-building skills

Excellent communication and decision-making ability

High level of computer literacy
