The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Assistant Company Secretary within the Office of the Company Secretary.

Job Title: Assistant Company Secretary
Unit: Office of the Company Secretary
Location: Centurion, Gauteng
🎯 Job Purpose
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of Board, Committee, and Shareholders Committee activities, while supporting the overall effectiveness of the Company Secretariat function.
📝 Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage the Board and Committee meeting calendar aligned with compliance requirements
Coordinate and arrange Board, Committee, and Shareholders Committee meetings
Prepare and distribute electronic Board packs within set timelines
Draft accurate minutes, agendas, resolutions, and action items
Track and follow up on action items and resolutions
Assist with corporate governance reporting and compliance matters
Support the review of Board Charters, Committee Terms of Reference, and Annual Work Plans
Assist with Board induction, evaluations, and development programmes
Keep Board members updated on corporate governance prescripts and legislative changes
Contribute to the Governance section of the Annual Report
🎓 Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Matric (NQF Level 4)
Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in LLB or BCom (Law) – Essential
Chartered Governance Institute of Secretaries qualification – Advantageous
4–5 years’ experience in a Company Secretariat or Board Committee environment
Strong knowledge of corporate governance and public sector legislation
Extensive minute-taking experience is essential
