## 🎯 Purpose of the Job

The primary purpose of this role is to enable plant stability through effective planning of identified maintenance and shutdown activities, precise scheduling of necessary resources, and robust support for shutdown-related operations.

## 🛠️ Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 * **Process Alignment:** Follow and promote the Turnaround Management (TAM) process through self-study and coaching.

 * **Work Order Review:** Inspect shutdown work orders per discipline from the plant, capturing accurate data to build task lists via site inspections, drawings, and collaboration.

 * **Scheduling & Tools:** Utilize prescribed software (such as Artemis) to schedule tasks to professional standards.

 * **Project Tracking:** Assist the project leader with tracking front-end loading activities to ensure full operational preparedness.

 * **Coordination & Reporting:** Co-ordinate shutdown activities during execution, monitor progress, and provide accurate, on-time reporting to various stakeholders.

 * **Stakeholder Engagement:** Facilitate key meetings and build positive working relationships with managers, peers, clients, and service providers.

## 📚 Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following formal education pathways alongside relevant operational experience:

 1. **Option 1:** High school diploma (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Science (at N3 level) **AND** a relevant Engineering National Diploma (NQF 5 Planner Qualification) in Instruments, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Welding, or Rigging with **2+ years** of relevant operations experience.

 2. **Option 2:** Occupational Trade Qualification (NQF 4) as an Artisan (Instrument, Electrical, Mechanical, Process Artisan, Welding, or Rigging) with **3+ years** of relevant operations experience.

 3. **Option 3:** Sasol planning internal technical development training program with **5+ years** of relevant experience.

 4. **Additional Requirements:** A valid Driver’s License.

 5. **Beneficial:** Planning and project management experience/qualifications (such as SACPCMP accreditation, SAP, or MS Projects experience).
