## Job Description & Responsibilities

As a Frontshop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining store standards and driving maximum sales. Your core duties will include:

 * **Merchandising:** Restocking merchandise, ensuring full product ranges are on shelves, and following the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle.

 * **Stock Management:** Managing storeroom organization, reporting low or damaged stock, and handling deliveries or stock counts.

 * **Customer Service:** Providing friendly, helpful, and courteous assistance while resolving shopper queries promptly.

 * **Store Standards:** Upholding health and safety rules, wearing the correct uniform, and keeping workstations clean and tidy.

## Requirements & Competencies

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

### Essential Requirements:

 * **Education:** Grade 12 / Matric.

 * **Experience:** 0 to 6 months of retail work experience.

 * **Skills:** Strong communication skills in English (read, write, speak, and understand), basic administrative capabilities, and good time management.

 * **Conditions:** Must be a South African citizen or hold a valid work permit with a clear credit and criminal record, plus reliable transport/driver's license.

### Advantageous:

 * 1 year of retail or FMCG industry experience.

 * Familiarity with planograms and category knowledge.

 * Proficiency in a 2nd additional language.
