## 📌 Job Summary

 * **Position:** Chocolatier

 * **Company:** Jack Rabbit Chocolate / Raizcorp

 * **Location:** Sandton, Gauteng

 * **Position Type:** Permanent

 * **Salary:** R200 000 – R300 000 per annum

 * **Working Hours:** Monday to Friday (08:00 – 17:00) *(Overtime during peak production periods when necessary)*

## 🎯 Key Responsibilities

 * **Artisan Production:** Craft premium pralines, truffles, bonbons, ganaches, molded chocolates, and seasonal items.

 * **Technical Excellence:** Master chocolate tempering (manual and machine), crystallization, enrobing, and decoration.

 * **Product Development:** Develop and test new flavor combinations, textures, and innovative seasonal ranges.

 * **Quality & Safety:** Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, allergen controls, and quality standards.

 * **Production Scaling:** Accurately scale recipes for both small-batch artisan crafting and large-scale manufacturing.

## 📋 Minimum Requirements

 * **Education:** Recognized qualification in Chocolatier Studies, Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, Confectionery, or a related field.

 * **Experience:** Minimum **5 years’ professional experience** (5–8 years preferred) in artisanal, commercial, or manufacturing chocolate environments.

 * **Technical Skills:** Advanced knowledge of chocolate tempering, equipment operation, cocoa percentages, and recipe formulation.

 * **Logistics:** Reliable transportation to and from Sandton.
