You’ll be providing bedside care to the smallest patients. This is high-quality, holistic nursing in a private environment.

 * **Direct Care:** Meds, vitals, feeding, and wound care specifically for children and infants.

 * **Support System:** You aren't just treating the child; you’re supporting distraught parents and coordinating with the Registered Nurse (RN).

 * **High Standards:** Private hospitals have zero tolerance for poor documentation or low-quality care. You’ll be charting accurately and maintaining a safe, "Lean" environment.

### 🚩 The "Jobbing101" Reality Check

 * **Don't let "Entry Level" fool you:** The post says entry level, but the requirements strictly demand **3+ years of paediatric experience**. New grads will likely be filtered out.

 * **SANC & BLS must be Active:** If your SANC registration is lapsed or your Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate has expired, don't waste your time. You need proof of active status.

 * **Specialization is Key:** If you have 10 years of experience in adult surgical but zero years in Paeds, you will be at a disadvantage. Children’s vitals and IMCI protocols are unique.

 * **Shift Work is Real:** 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, and public holidays are part of the deal. The hospital never closes!

 * **Qualifications:** Matric + Enrolled Nursing Qualification + Active SANC Registration.

 * **Skills:** Valid BLS certificate is non-negotiable.
