Mindrift is currently recruiting a Senior Software Engineer in Test (Freelance) to work on exciting AI-related projects for leading technology companies. This is a project-based opportunity, meaning you can work part-time and remotely while contributing to the future of AI systems.

💻 About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will help improve AI coding systems by designing complex coding challenges and evaluating how AI models perform.

Your work will include:

  • Creating challenging coding test cases for AI systems

  • Reviewing and refining coding tasks from real production codebases

  • Writing comprehensive functional and integration tests

  • Building fair but challenging scenarios where AI must reason through complex problems

  • Analyzing AI failures and successes to improve model performance

  • Working with expert QA reviewers who evaluate your tasks based on quality standards

This role is ideal for developers who enjoy problem-solving, testing systems, and contributing to cutting-edge AI technology.

🧠 Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, candidates should have:

  • A Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Strong knowledge of Python (pytest, async/await, subprocess, file operations)

  • Experience in Full-Stack development (React front-end + back-end systems)

  • Experience writing functional and integration tests

  • Familiarity with Docker containers

  • Understanding of CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions

  • English proficiency – B2 level or higher
