π― Role Purpose
The CHRO will provide strategic HR leadership across the SAA Group, acting as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while driving organisational effectiveness, culture evolution, and people excellence.
This role is ideal for a senior HR executive with strong commercial acumen, deep HR expertise, and the ability to navigate a large, complex business environment.
π§ Key Responsibilities
Act as a strategic member of the Executive Committee (Exco)
Align HR strategy with overall business objectives
Lead talent management, performance management, training & development
Drive organisational culture, values, and employee engagement
Oversee executive recruitment and succession planning
Ensure compliance with employment legislation
Coach, mentor, and lead a diverse, geographically dispersed HR team
Represent the organisation as an HR expert when required
Embed culture themes that support transformation and growth
π Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Human Resources (NQF Level 7)
Postgraduate qualification (advantageous)
12–15 years HR experience, with 10 years at senior/executive level
Proven experience in large or complex organisations
