🎯 Role Purpose

The CHRO will provide strategic HR leadership across the SAA Group, acting as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while driving organisational effectiveness, culture evolution, and people excellence.

This role is ideal for a senior HR executive with strong commercial acumen, deep HR expertise, and the ability to navigate a large, complex business environment.

🧠 Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic member of the Executive Committee (Exco)

  • Align HR strategy with overall business objectives

  • Lead talent management, performance management, training & development

  • Drive organisational culture, values, and employee engagement

  • Oversee executive recruitment and succession planning

  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation

  • Coach, mentor, and lead a diverse, geographically dispersed HR team

  • Represent the organisation as an HR expert when required

  • Embed culture themes that support transformation and growth

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Human Resources (NQF Level 7)

  • Postgraduate qualification (advantageous)

  • 12–15 years HR experience, with 10 years at senior/executive level

  • Proven experience in large or complex organisations
