🔍 Key Responsibilities

As a Shaft Surveyor, you’ll manage specialist survey services at shaft level, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and performance excellence.

Your role includes:

  • Managing Survey & Evaluation teams

  • Planning and compiling survey & mine plans

  • Supervising underground production measurements

  • Ensuring MPRDA & DMR legal compliance

  • Maintaining electronic survey plans and reports

  • Establishing on-mine survey standards

  • Supporting long-term operational planning

📊 Reporting Level: Band 6/11
📌 Reports To: Chief Surveyor

🎓 Minimum Requirements

✔️ Mine Surveyors Certificate of Competency
✔️ 5+ years underground hard rock mine surveying experience
✔️ Competent 17.2 appointment
✔️ Valid driver’s licence (Code 08)
✔️ Computer literacy
➕ Advantage: National Higher Diploma / BTech / Engineering qualification
