✅ Minimum Requirements

✔️ Appropriate qualification allowing HPCSA registration as a Specialist in Anaesthesia
✔️ Current HPCSA registration as a Medical Specialist in Anaesthesia
✔️ No post-registration experience required

🩺 Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver efficient and effective anaesthesiology services

  • Coordinate and supervise clinical care and treatment

  • Support the Head of Unit with administrative duties

  • Guide and mentor registrars, medical officers, and junior staff

  • Collaborate with nursing and administrative teams to ensure smooth theatre operations

  • Uphold teaching, research, and service excellence aligned with the University of the Witwatersrand

  • Assess and support the development of junior medical professionals
