🎓 Minimum Requirements

To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

✔ NQF Level 6 or 7 in Accounting / Financial Management
✔ 3 years’ relevant experience in Financial Accounting at supervisory or management (ASD) level
✔ Strong knowledge of IFRS/GRAP, PFMA, and Treasury Regulations
✔ Proven experience in:

  • Financial statements preparation

  • Revenue, expenditure & debtors management

  • Audit processes & risk management
    ✔ Proficiency in CaseWare, ERP systems (SAP), and advanced Excel
    ✔ Leadership, stakeholder engagement & team management skills

🧾 Key Responsibilities

As Deputy Director, you will be responsible for:

🔹 Managing strategic and operational finance functions
🔹 Overseeing expenditure, revenue, and debtor controls
🔹 Preparing quarterly & annual financial statements (PFMA & GRAP compliant)
🔹 Coordinating audit responses and implementing corrective action plans
🔹 Leading, mentoring, and managing finance teams
🔹 Ensuring strong internal controls, compliance, and risk management
🔹 Supporting departmental reporting and performance outcomes
