π Why This Role Matters
Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers affecting women — and early detection saves lives. This study focuses on home-based clinical breast screening and community education for women aged 40–65. Your role helps bring medical support directly to households, improving access, awareness, and early detection.
π What You’ll Be Doing
As a Community Health Worker, you’ll be the friendly, trusted face of the project. Key responsibilities include:
✔ Engaging with participants and community stakeholders
✔ Scheduling home visits & conducting informed consent
✔ Collecting accurate qualitative & quantitative data
✔ Delivering educational material on breast health
✔ Performing home-based breast screening procedures
✔ Capturing study data using REDCap
✔ Supporting research staff with fieldwork and admin
✔ Maintaining confidentiality, professionalism & empathy
You’ll also assist the team with logistical support, reporting, and ensuring smooth project operations.
π Minimum Requirements
To qualify, you’ll need:

Matric certificate
-
1 year experience in qualitative & quantitative data collection

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to speak local languages
-
Computer literacy
-
Professionalism, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude
-
Willingness to work irregular hours and some Saturdays
-
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
