🔎 Role Purpose

As a Veterinary Technologist, you will perform essential responsibilities within a veterinary laboratory, ensuring accurate, reliable, and timeous results while maintaining the highest quality standards.

✅ Requirements & Skills

  • National Diploma in Veterinary Technology

  • Registered with SAVC (must comply with CPD requirements – ACT NO 19 OF 1982)

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an ISO17025 SANAS accredited laboratory

  • SANAS 17025-2017 Certificate

  • Competency in Serology & Bacteriology

  • Experience with LIMS

  • Previous experience as a SANAS Technical Signatory

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills

  • Ability to work independently & in a team

  • Valid South African driver’s license & own transport

🧪 Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise, and control serological evaluations

  • Process incoming samples correctly and efficiently

  • Deliver accurate microbiological evaluations

  • Act as a SANAS Technical Signatory

  • Participate in method validation & proficiency testing

  • Maintain equipment, ensure stock management, and uphold ISO 17025 standards
