### ✅ Job Purpose:

The COO will oversee the entire waste management value chain — from collection to disposal — ensuring world-class delivery aligned with the City’s Service Delivery Agreements.

### ✨ Key Responsibilities:

* Lead operational strategy, planning & reporting

* Manage residential, business, and bulk waste collection services

* Oversee street cleaning, landfill operations & illegal dump clearing

* Handle contract & supplier performance management

* Drive risk, compliance & sustainability initiatives

### 📚 Minimum Requirements:

* **Bachelor’s (Honours)** in Engineering, Waste/Business Management or related

* **10+ years’ relevant experience**, including 5 years at senior management level

* Deep knowledge of **MFMA**, project management, and public sector operations

* Master’s Degree is a **plus**
