**Wildlife and Communities Action Trust (WildCAT)** is hiring a **GIS Technician** in **Kasane, Chobe District, Botswana** to support innovative land use and conservation projects. This is a **6-month full-time contract** with the possibility of extension based on performance.

### 🔍 Job Overview:

WildCAT is rolling out the **Land Use Conflict Identification System (LUCIS)** in partnership with the Land Board and other government entities. As a **GIS Technician**, you’ll play a vital role in:

✅ Delivering LUCIS modelling using GIS tools

✅ Training stakeholders and land planners

✅ Supporting wildlife coexistence strategies

### 💼 Job Requirements:

* Master’s degree in GIS or related field (or equivalent experience)

* 2+ years of GIS and modelling experience

* Strong in QGIS, Python, R (ArcGIS is a plus)

* Fluent in English and Setswana

* Driver’s license and ability to work in remote areas

* Experience in stakeholder training is a bonus
