**Position**: Safety Officer

**Location**: Preference will be given to local community applicants

**Closing Date**: 27 June 2025

**Requirements**:

* Grade 12

* COMSOC 1 & 2 or SAMTRACT

* Valid Code 8/10 Driver’s Licence

* 2 years' experience in a mining/engineering safety role

* Computer literacy (MS Office)

* Knowledge of ISO 45001 and 9000 systems

* Strong communication, risk assessment, and reporting skills

* Must pass a medical assessment

**Key Responsibilities**:

* Promote and enforce safety regulations and practices

* Lead internal safety audits and inspections

* Ensure legal compliance and improve processes

* Serve as a communication bridge between teams and management regarding safety

* Prepare and coordinate documentation and procedures
