### Job Role: Artisan - Millwright

**Location:** Timbadola Sawmill

**Grade:** C2

**Reports to:** Superintendent Engineering

**Closing Date:** 30 June 2025

### Key Responsibilities:

* Respond promptly to breakdowns and reduce equipment downtime

* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment

* Install and service electrical and mechanical components (PLCs, pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, etc.)

* Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulics and pneumatics systems

* Conduct bulk infrastructure maintenance (22KV & 220V powerlines, generators, switchgear)

* Interpret technical drawings for fault diagnosis

* Support training and mentoring of Apprenticeship Students

* Maintain strict safety and housekeeping standards

### Requirements:

* N3 Electro-Mechanical Engineering Certificate

* Trade Certificate: Millwright (compulsory)

* National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (advantageous)

* 3 years’ relevant experience (sawmill experience is a bonus)

* Valid driver’s licence

### Competencies:

* Strong fault-finding and electrical troubleshooting skills

* Experience with technical drawings, compressors, and installations

* Time management, coordination, innovation, and teamwork
