Botswana Railways is hiring! A great opportunity has opened up for a detail-oriented **Payroll Accountant** based at the Botswana Railways Headquarters in Mahalapye.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong accounting skills and payroll experience who are ready to take the lead in managing, processing, and reporting payroll data. You’ll report directly to the Head Financial Accountant and play a key role in ensuring statutory compliance and employee benefit administration.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Accurate and timely processing of multiple payrolls

* Supervising the payroll team

* Managing third-party payments and payroll system providers

* Payroll audits and reconciliations

* PAYE calculations and statutory submissions

* Monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reporting

**Qualifications & Experience:**

* BS/BA in Accounting or related field

* AAT, CIMA, BICA, or ACCA Part-Qualified

* 5+ years’ payroll experience (preferably with Sage Payroll)

* Strong MS Excel skills and attention to detail

* Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
