**WILDTRUST Y.E.S. Programme Vacancies: Community Livelihood Assistants**

The WILDTRUST is part of the Youth Employment Services (YES) programme, funded by NEDBANK, which aims to reduce youth unemployment and provide meaningful work opportunities to unemployed youth. The WILDTRUST invites applications from unemployed youth, graduates, and scholars for the position of **Community Livelihood Assistant**.


### **Position: Community Livelihood Assistant**


**Location:**

- **Nqutshini (KZN)** – You must have your own transport to the worksite.


**Number of Available Positions:**

- 15 positions for **Community Livelihood General Assistants**.


**Salary & Contract:**

- Monthly Salary: **R4 991.03**

- **12-month contract duration**


**Key Responsibilities:**

As a Community Livelihood Assistant, you will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful work that helps improve local communities. Your key duties will include:


- Assisting with **Surveys and Data Collection** to support community development efforts.

- Promoting **Environmental Education** in schools and local communities.

- Facilitating **Permaculture Training** for schools and community groups.

- Supporting and mentoring **Vegetable Garden Owners** through homestead visits.

- Promoting **Sustainable Resource Use**, with a focus on alternative energy solutions and water harvesting.

- Organizing and participating in **Community Clean-ups** to create healthier environments.

- Offering general support to **Community Hubs** and other trust-related activities.


### **Job Requirements:**

- Applicants must be between **18 and 27 years of age**.

- Must be **currently unemployed**.

- Must have a **valid SARS income tax number** and **email address**.

- **Matric** qualification (Grade 12) is required.

- Able to read and write in **English**.

- Any **post-matric qualifications**, volunteer work, or relevant experience will be advantageous.


**Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged individuals.**
