## **Job Title:**
**Switchboard Operator & Bed Bookings (x1)**
## **Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage **hospital switchboard operations** professionally and efficiently.
- Handle **incoming and outgoing calls**, ensuring all calls are answered within **three rings**.
- Liaise with **doctors, patients, hospital staff, and executive personnel**.
- Handle **bed bookings** and coordinate with **Unit Managers** for patient discharges and available beds.
- Ensure **patient confidentiality** and manage sensitive information professionally.
- Assist with **hospital admissions, medical aid pre-authorizations, and reception duties**.
- Log calls for **faulty lines and switchboard issues**.
- Maintain **hospital telephone lists** and ensure all emergency procedures are followed.
## **Requirements & Skills:**
✔ **Grade 12 qualification** (Matric)
✔ **1-2 years of hospital experience** (essential)
✔ **Medical aid & pre-authorization knowledge**
✔ **Computer literacy**
✔ **Experience in switchboard operations**
✔ **Ability to work independently & under pressure**
✔ **Strong communication & decision-making skills**
✔ **Willingness to work shifts (Day/Night)**
