# **Call for Nominations: Serve on the CIDB Board in South Africa**

The **Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB)** is calling for nominations for individuals to serve on its Board. ## **About the CIDB and Its Role**  

The **CIDB** is a **Schedule 3A Government entity** under the **Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure**, operating in line with the **Construction Industry Development Board Act (Act No. 38 of 2000)**. The board plays a crucial role in:

## **Board Tenure & Selection Process**  

✅ Board members will serve a **three-year term**  

✅ The Minister of Public Works & Infrastructure will **reappoint one-third of existing board members**  

✅ Shortlisted nominees will undergo a **screening process**  


In line with **transformation objectives**, the Minister will consider **geographical representation, race, gender, and inclusivity**, particularly for **women, youth, and persons with disabilities**.  


## **How to Apply: Nomination Process**  

All nominations must be **submitted in writing** on the prescribed form (available on the website) and must include:  


✔ **Nominator’s details**: Full name, contact number, email, and address  

✔ **Nominee’s details**: Full name, ID number, contact information  

✔ **Motivation letter** (max **1 page**, font **10**) explaining why the nominee is the best fit for the role  

✔ **Short CV** (max **2 pages**, font **10**) including:  

   - Full name, ID number, race, gender, contact details  

   - Qualifications, experience, skills  

   - Names and contact details of **at least two references**  

✔ **Certified copies of qualifications** (shortlisted candidates only)  

✔ **SAQA Certificate of Evaluation** (for nominees with foreign qualifications)
