## **Key Responsibilities**  


### **Legal Business Partnering**  

- Act as a legal business partner, providing expert legal support.  

- Stay updated on industry laws and regulations.  

- Interpret legal rulings and draft, review, and vet legal documents.  

- Ensure compliance with South African and international legal frameworks.  

- Provide professional legal advice aligned with AVBOB’s strategic direction.  


### **Contract & Risk Management**  

- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts and agreements.  

- Identify legal risks and provide proactive solutions.  

- Conduct legal research on legislation, case law, and compliance risks.  

- Develop legal strategies to manage disputes and mitigate risks.  


### **Dispute Resolution & Stakeholder Engagement**  

- Represent AVBOB in negotiations, arbitration, and litigation.  

- Provide legal advice on business transactions and regulatory compliance.  

- Liaise with external legal counsel when needed.  

- Guide and coach internal teams on legal matters.  


## **Who Should Apply?**  


### **Minimum Requirements**  

- **Education**: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.  

- **Professional Qualification**: Admitted attorney or advocate in South Africa.  

- **Experience**: 5-7 years post-admission experience in the credit, banking, or financial services sector.  

- **Skills**:  

  - Strong contract drafting and legal research abilities.  

  - Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.  

  - Experience in **insurance law** and regulatory frameworks.  

  - Litigation experience (advantageous).  

  - Product development and team leadership experience (preferred).
