## **Job Overview**
As an **Alex News Journalist**, you will be responsible for covering **breaking news, community events, crime reports, school activities, municipal issues, and sports** within **Alexandra**. Your role will involve **researching, writing high-quality stories, engaging with the local community**, and working under tight deadlines for both online and print publications.
### **Key Responsibilities:**
✔ Research and write compelling news stories for print and digital platforms.
✔ Report on breaking news and local events within Alexandra.
✔ Meet daily targets and coordinate assignments with the editor.
✔ Engage with the community through **face-to-face interactions and social media**.
✔ Cover various topics including **crime, entertainment, municipal issues, and sports**.
## **Minimum Requirements:**
✔ **Diploma/Degree in Journalism**.
✔ **At least one year of newsroom experience**.
✔ Excellent command of **written and spoken English** (IsiZulu is an advantage).
✔ Strong **social media** and **digital content creation** skills.
✔ Ability to **work independently**, meet deadlines, and work some evenings/weekends.
