### **Minimum Requirements**  

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:  

✔ **Grade 10 or equivalent qualification**  

✔ **Competent B Certificate of Competency**  

✔ **Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Rock Drill Operator**  

✔ **RDO Certificate of Competency**  

✔ **Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness**  

### **Key Responsibilities**  

As a **Rock Drill Operator**, your responsibilities will include:  

✅ Ensuring all work meets the **mine’s safety and support standards**  

✅ **Following supervisor instructions** regarding drilling operations  

✅ Checking and securing **hoses, fittings, and attachments**  

✅ Drilling accurately according to **marks and direction lines** provided  

✅ Ensuring drilling only occurs in **supported areas** as per mine standards  

✅ Applying **safe barring procedures** at all times  

✅ Inspecting and maintaining **drilling equipment for safety compliance**  

✅ Installing and removing both **temporary and permanent support systems**  

✅ Thorough understanding of **Eland Mine face drilling procedures**
