## **Job Overview: Control Room Operator**  

As a **Control Room Operator**, your primary responsibility is to **monitor and control** security systems, ensuring the safety of clients and their assets. This role requires **vigilance, quick decision-making, and strong problem-solving skills**. You will be the first line of response to security incidents, making this a critical position in our operations.  

### **Key Responsibilities**  

✔️ **Monitor** CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems.  

✔️ **Assess** and respond to security threats in real time.  

✔️ **Coordinate** with on-ground security teams for efficient incident resolution.  

✔️ **Log and report** security incidents with high accuracy.  

✔️ **Communicate effectively** with security personnel and emergency responders.  

✔️ **Ensure compliance** with security protocols and operational procedures.  

## **Minimum Requirements**  

✅ **Education**: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent. A **tertiary qualification in security management** or a related field is advantageous.  

✅ **Experience**: At least **2 years of experience in a control room** or **surveillance operations** within the security industry.  

✅ **Certification**: **PSIRA Certification is mandatory**.  

✅ **Technical Skills**:  

- Proficiency in **security systems and software**, including **CCTV monitoring, alarm systems, and access control systems**.  

- Experience with **Listener** software is an advantage.  

✅ **Soft Skills**:  

- Excellent **verbal and written communication skills** in English.  

- High **attention to detail** and ability to **work under pressure**.  

- Strong **problem-solving skills**, integrity, and ethical standards.  

✅ **Availability**: Willingness to **work shifts**, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
