## **Job Overview**
As a **Maintenance Manager**, you will be responsible for ensuring **workshop safety, vehicle maintenance, and operational efficiency**. Your role will include **budget management, staff coordination, and quality control** to maintain high service standards in the transport sector.
## **Key Responsibilities**
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
### **Workshop & Maintenance Management:**
- Ensure **safety and security procedures** are strictly followed in the workshop.
- Oversee **vehicle service and repairs**, ensuring quality control measures are in place.
- Maintain detailed **job card records** for accurate invoicing and tracking.
- Prevent repeat maintenance issues by conducting **thorough repair inspections**.
### **Operations & Budget Control:**
- **Plan and oversee** weekly production activities to meet operational targets.
- Manage and control the **approved expenditure budget** effectively.
- Ensure delivery of **high-quality transport services** while adhering to industry standards.
### **Leadership & Development:**
- Implement and maintain **effective communication systems** within the team.
- Manage company assets efficiently, ensuring **safe application and utilization**.
- Stay updated with **new industry trends and technologies** to enhance operations.
- Encourage **innovation and continuous improvement** in maintenance processes.
- Uphold and enforce **all applicable safety standards** in daily operations.
## **Minimum Requirements**
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- **Matric/Grade 12** with **at least 5 years of middle management experience**.
- Strong experience in **Timber Transport Management**.
- Technical knowledge of **MAN trucks and Bell loading equipment** (advantageous).
- Background in **industrial relations** with a proven track record in **marketing**.
- **Computer literacy** with excellent **administration and reporting skills**.
