Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal (TIKZN) is seeking a qualified and motivated Project Manager to join their Investment Promotion team. This position will offer you the opportunity to contribute to attracting both domestic and foreign investment to key sectors in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
### **Key Responsibilities:**
As the Project Manager: Investment Promotion, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating investment opportunities in sectors like ICT, manufacturing, and agriculture. Key duties include:
- **Investment Promotion:** Attract both domestic and international investment aligned with TIKZN's strategic objectives.
- **Investment Facilitation:** Promote and facilitate investment opportunities within priority sectors in the province.
- **Stakeholder Engagement:** Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, investors, and industry partners.
- **Client Enquiry Management:** Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide necessary assistance.
- **Reporting:** Provide comprehensive reports on investment activities, progress, and sector-specific developments.
### **Qualifications & Experience:**
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- **Educational Qualifications:**
- A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is essential.
- An Honours degree in Economics, Business Administration, or related qualifications is highly advantageous.
- **Experience:**
- 3-5 years of experience in Project Management within Investment Promotion and Facilitation.
- Solid knowledge and exposure to the ICT, manufacturing, and agriculture sectors is essential.
### **Skills & Competencies:**
- **Professional Competencies:**
- In-depth knowledge of economic sectors, relevant South African legislation, and international trends in investment.
- Understanding of international trade and investment dynamics, incentives, and grants.
- Familiarity with work permits, company registration processes, and required documentation.
- **Personal Attributes:**
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer literate at an intermediate level with good office etiquette.
- Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Adaptability to new processes and changes, with excellent time management and project management skills.
