## **Minimum Requirements**  


To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:  


✅ **Education:**  

- Grade 12/NQF Level 4  

- **BCom Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or any finance-related qualification at NQF Level 7**  


✅ **Experience:**  

- **10 years of financial management experience**, with at least:  

  - 5 years at a **middle management level**  

  - 5 years in **municipal financial management**  

- Experience in:  

  - Managing local government operational and capital expenditure  

  - Financial analysis and reporting  

  - Asset management  


✅ **Key Competencies:**  

- **Strategic leadership and financial management**  

- Operational financial management  

- Governance, ethics, and values in financial management  

- Financial reporting and compliance  

- Supply chain management  

- Audit and risk management  

- Stakeholder relations  


## **Key Responsibilities**  


As the **Director of Finance**, you will:  


- **Lead the financial management of the Legislature**, ensuring compliance with **GRAP (General Recognized Accounting Principles)** and government financial regulations.  

- **Prepare and oversee budgets**, allocating financial resources efficiently.  

- **Ensure timely financial reporting** to internal and external stakeholders.  

- **Oversee asset management**, procurement, and supply chain processes.  

- **Ensure financial risks are managed and minimized** while enforcing good governance.  

- **Provide financial leadership** to the Legislature and other departments.  

- **Drive strategic financial improvements and innovations** for better financial efficiency.
