## **Key Responsibilities**
As a **Health, Safety, and Security Officer**, your duties will include:
✅ **Policy Development & Implementation:**
- Develop and enforce **health and safety policies** in alignment with industry regulations.
- Ensure compliance with **local, state, and federal safety regulations**.
✅ **Risk Management & Audits:**
- Conduct **regular risk assessments** and safety audits.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Conduct **health & safety inspections** on construction sites.
✅ **Training & Compliance:**
- Provide **training sessions and workshops** to employees on **safety best practices**.
- Promote a culture of safety and **proactively address workplace hazards**.
- Stay up to date with **industry best practices** and regulatory changes.
✅ **System & Contract Management:**
- Manage **mySHEQ system** for health and safety reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of **incidents, inspections, and training activities**.
- Oversee and manage the **company’s security contract**.

## **Minimum Requirements**
To qualify for this role, applicants must have:
✔ **Education & Certification:**
- **Grade 12 (Matric)**.
- **Bachelor’s degree** in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, or a related field.
- **Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH/SAMTRAC)** is preferred.
- Qualified **HSE representative** and **First Aider Level 2**.
✔ **Work Experience & Skills:**
- Minimum of **5 years of experience** in a health and safety role (preferably in a senior or supervisory position).
- Knowledge of **ISO standards (9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018)**.
- Strong **analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills**.
- Excellent **communication and training abilities**.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with **health and safety management software**.
- **Experience in the water and wastewater industry** is an advantage.
