**📌 Position:** Drill Rig Operator (B Lower Band)

### **Minimum Requirements:**  

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:  

✔ **Grade 10 or equivalent qualification**  

✔ **Drill Rig Operator Certificate of Competency**  

✔ **At least 5 years of proven drilling experience** in a mining environment  

✔ **Hands-on experience operating a Drill Rig machine**  

✔ **Must pass a Dover assessment** (cognitive and motor skills test)  

✔ **Medical Certificate of Fitness** (required for all underground mining positions)  

### **Key Responsibilities:**  

As a Drill Rig Operator at **Eland Platinum Mine**, you will be responsible for:  

✅ Performing **daily inspections** and operational testing of the Drill Rig machine  

✅ Ensuring the Drill Rig is **in good working condition and available for use**  

✅ Tramming Drill Rigs over **long distances within the mine**  

✅ **Drilling support units, declines (sinking), and strike drives**  

✅ Performing other **excavation drilling** tasks as required
