### **Position Overview**  

**Job Title:** DC Champion - Outbound  

**Location:** Johannesburg, South Africa  

**Department:** Supply Chain  

**Reporting To:** Department Manager

### **Key Responsibilities**  

As a DC Champion, you will:  

1. **Operational Excellence:**  

   - Organize and control departmental operations to align with business goals.  

   - Implement improvement processes to optimize costs and working capital.  

2. **Workplace Safety:**  

   - Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments.  

3. **Performance Monitoring:**  

   - Analyze daily operational reports, identify discrepancies, and implement resolutions.  

   - Monitor and ensure adherence to key performance targets, such as accuracy and turnaround times.  

4. **Team Leadership:**  

   - Oversee and motivate DC Assistants to consistently achieve accuracy and productivity goals.  

   - Provide training and guidance to maintain high-quality output.  

5. **Planning & Execution:**  

   - Collaborate with line managers for daily planning and task prioritization.  

   - Ensure that all daily processes are completed efficiently.  

6. **Continuous Improvement:**  

   - Drive adherence to First-In-First-Out (FIFO) processes.  

   - Proactively resolve escalated operational queries in a timely manner.

### **Requirements & Attributes**  

#### **Qualifications:**  

- **Essential:** Matric certificate or equivalent.  

- **Preferred:** Tertiary qualification in a related field.  

#### **Experience:**  

- 4-5 years of warehouse experience.  

- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience (advantageous).  

- Proven expertise in Picking, Packing, Receiving, Supplier Collections, and Inventory management.  

#### **Key Skills & Attributes:**  

- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems.  

- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.  

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.  

- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
