# Railway Safety Regulator (RSR) Bursary Opportunity: 2025 Intake

 

The **Railway Safety Regulator (RSR)** invites talented South African students to apply for its bursary program for the 2025 academic year. This opportunity is open to school leavers and students aged **15-35 years** who wish to pursue undergraduate studies at recognized and accredited higher education institutions.  

This bursary supports the development of critical skills in line with RSR’s mandate to oversee and enforce railway safety standards across South Africa.

## **Eligibility Criteria**  

To qualify for the RSR bursary, applicants must:  

1. Be a **South African citizen** aged **15-35 years**.  

2. Not be funded by any other bursary or sponsorship scheme.  

3. Be willing to attend an interview and sign a bursary agreement.  

4. Submit proof of registration or admission at a recognized institution.  

5. Achieve a minimum average of **65%**:  

   - For first-year applicants: Submit Grade 11 or Grade 12 mid-year results.  

   - For current tertiary students: Submit your latest academic record.

Applicants must include the following:

- Certified copy of admission/registration letter for the 2025 academic year.  

- Certified copy of your latest official academic record or Grade 11/12 results.  

- Certified copy of your South African ID.  

- A **motivational letter** explaining why you deserve the bursary.  

- A quotation of the academic year’s tuition fees.
