**Key Responsibilities:**

As a **Processing Operator** at Foods Botswana, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks aimed at ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the milk processing plant:

- **Milk Agitation (Pre-Offloading)**: Prepare milk for processing by agitating it before offloading.

- **Sampling Tankers**: Conduct sampling of incoming milk tankers for quality assurance.

- **Off-Loading Milk into Silos**: Safely unload milk into designated silos.

- **Housekeeping**: Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the milk reception area and processing equipment.

- **Connection of Reception Pipes to Tankers**: Safely connect reception pipes to milk tankers for offloading.

- **Cleaning and Sterilization**: Regular cleaning of the processing plant and sterilization of equipment.

- **Processing Duties**: Oversee and ensure the smooth processing of milk in line with safety and quality standards.

- **Monitoring and Reporting**: Monitor water and steam pressures, temperatures (via SCADA), air pressures, and flow rates on various pumps. Keep detailed records of milk receiving, processing activities, and daily losses.

- **CIP (Clean in Place) Procedures**: Ensure effective CIP procedures are followed to maintain plant hygiene.

**Required Qualifications and Experience:**

- **Education**: BGCSE or equivalent qualification.

- **Experience**: At least **1 year of experience** in the dairy field, with a solid understanding of dairy processing operations.

- **SCADA Knowledge**: Familiarity with SCADA systems is highly advantageous.

- **CIP Procedures**: Experience with Clean in Place (CIP) procedures is a plus.
