### **Position Details**  

- **Position:** Internship – Dosimetry Standards (2 positions)  

- **Duration:** 24 months  

- **Location:** Meiring Naude Road, Brummeria, Pretoria, South Africa  

- **Salary Range:** R6,758 – R8,878 (based on qualifications)

### **Key Responsibilities**  


- Assist with the development and maintenance of dosimetry measurement standards and dissemination.  

- Work in an accredited laboratory and comply with NMISA's Total Quality Management System.  

- Generate, validate, and review procedures for dosimetry measurements while maintaining detailed records of equipment and results.  

- Support dosimetry audits and other laboratory activities.  

- Perform administrative tasks, including purchasing laboratory consumables and managing timely procurement processes.  

- Contribute to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) objectives by maintaining laboratory and EHS responsibilities.  

- Participate in metrology skills transfer by attending courses, conferences, and presenting project outcomes.

### **Minimum Requirements**  


- **Education:** BSc Honours in Physics or equivalent qualification.  

- **Knowledge:**  

  - Basic understanding of radiation protection and radiation science.  

  - Proficiency in MS Office software packages.  

  - Mathematical and statistical knowledge.  

- **Skills:**  

  - Strong communication and report-writing skills.  

  - Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.
