### **Key Requirements**  

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following criteria:  

- **Education:** Grade 10/12 certificate.  

- **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Excavator Operator in an open-pit mining environment.  

- **Certification:** Original Operator Competency Certificate.  

- **Language Skills:** Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions in English.  

- **Documentation:**  

  - Namibian ID.  

  - Valid Driver's License.  

  - Valid Code of Conduct (issued within the last 6 months).  

  - Contactable references.  

- **Accommodation:** Own accommodation is required.

### **Key Responsibilities**  

As an Excavator Operator, your duties will include:  

1. **Excavation Operations:** Safely operate excavators for digging, loading, and moving materials according to instructions.  

2. **Pre-Shift Inspections:** Conduct equipment checks and report mechanical or safety concerns before operation.  

3. **Precision and Control:** Perform tasks accurately to prevent damage to site structures or nearby equipment.  

4. **Safety Protocols:** Adhere to all safety measures and site rules to ensure a hazard-free working environment.  

5. **Reporting:** Maintain accurate records of operational hours, maintenance needs, and incidents for each shift.
