**Salary Range:** R354,947.02 - R579,755.22

### **Key Requirements for Asset Controllers**

To succeed in this role, applicants should meet the following qualifications and experience:

- **National Diploma** in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- **2-3 years’ experience** in a finance environment, including general ledger reconciliation

- **Valid driver’s license**

- **Knowledge of PFMA** (Public Finance Management Act)

- Familiarity with **National Treasury regulations**

- Experience with **procurement** and **asset management systems**

- Strong understanding of asset verification techniques

- Proficiency in **computer literacy** and finance-related software

- **Analytical** and **numeracy skills**

- Strong **verbal and written communication** abilities

- **Attention to detail** and excellent **time management** skills

### **Key Responsibilities**

As an Asset Controller, your role will be pivotal in ensuring efficient asset management within the park. Your main responsibilities will include:

- **Coordinating the annual physical verification** of assets across the park’s allocated areas

- Ensuring the **implementation of corporate policies** and procedures regarding fixed assets

- Maintaining and updating the **fixed asset register**

- Managing the **movement of assets** (acquisitions, transfers, disposals)

- Coordinating **asset auctions** within the park

- **Monitoring and reporting** on the Capex budget for the region

- Applying **risk management practices** to asset management

- Assisting with **capitalisation of asset-related capital projects**

- **Updating general ledger accounts** for accurate financial reporting

- Performing additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor
