## **Position Details**  

**Programme:** In-Service Training Programme (Hospitality & Catering Services)  

**Positions Available:** 4 Internships  

**Reference Number:** ITH/11/2024  

**Duration:** 12 months  

**Stipend:** As per DPSA provisions for in-service training  


### **Requirements**  

- A **Grade 12 certificate** or **NQF Level 4** qualification.  

- An **N6 Certificate in Catering Services**.  

- Applicants who have already participated in any in-service training programme will not be considered.  


### **Key Responsibilities**  

Successful applicants will:  

- Assist in the preparation and execution of events and functions.  

- Draft menus and prepare meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).  

- Adhere to hygiene standards, including personal and food preparation hygiene.  

- Set up venues, clean and prepare spaces, and serve food and beverages.  

- Clear tables and handle crockery, cutlery, and glassware.  

- Wash, clean, and polish all tableware and ensure proper storage.  

- Report equipment maintenance issues to the supervisor daily.  

- Collaborate with the supervisor regarding the availability of table linen.  

- Handle general household duties as needed.
