## **Job Summary**


As a **Regulatory Reporting Analyst**, you'll be at the forefront of Absa’s compliance efforts. You will:


- Ensure accurate data submissions to the Prudential Authority.

- Collaborate with risk and data production centers to streamline data flows.

- Present comprehensive insights and commentary to stakeholders.

- Play a vital role in system maintenance and process automation projects.

## **Key Responsibilities**


### **1. Risk Information Preparation and Reporting**  

- Collect and consolidate data from departments such as Finance, Treasury, and Risk.  

- Reconcile financial and risk data to ensure accuracy.  

- Address queries from the Prudential Authority and internal forums with supporting documentation.  

- Prepare management information packs for internal review.


### **2. BA Return Preparation**  

- Gather data for BA returns from various sources.  

- Compile and calculate working sheets for Prudential Authority submissions.  

- Maintain controls and validations to ensure submission accuracy.  

- Draft executive summaries and commentary for review.


### **3. System Maintenance and Development**  

- Lead system enhancement projects to improve efficiency.  

- Document and test automated solutions.  

- Identify opportunities for process automation and present proposed solutions.

## **What We’re Looking For**


### **Educational Background:**  

- Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in finance, commerce, or related fields.  

- **CA(SA)** qualification is a strong advantage.  


### **Experience:**  

- Non-CA: 3-5 years in a relevant field.  

- CA(SA): 0-3 years post-qualification experience.  

- Experience in banking finance, product management, or middle office roles is preferred.


### **Skills and Knowledge:**  

- Understanding of local and international regulatory requirements.  

- Expertise in SA/IFRS accounting standards.  

- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.  

- Analytical thinking with strong attention to detail.  

- Experience in system development and project management.
