### **Available Positions:**

#### 1. **Opencast Production Manager (Contract Manager)**

**Responsibilities:**

- **Oversee production schedules:** Ensure all operational deadlines and milestones are met effectively.

- **Ensure safety compliance:** Safeguard team members by adhering to stringent safety regulations.

- **Team leadership:** Inspire and manage a team of mining professionals to achieve peak performance.

- **Manage equipment utilisation:** Maximise efficiency by optimising the use of mining equipment.

- **Budget and performance reporting:** Oversee financial performance and ensure the project's objectives are met.

**Requirements:**

- **Experience:** A minimum of 10 years in coal mining, with at least 3 years in a management role.

- **Certifications:** Valid Blasting Ticket.

- **Skills:** Proficiency in budgeting, safety management, and strong leadership abilities.

- **Leadership:** Exceptional skills in operational planning and team management.

#### 2. **Mine Manager (Opencast)**

**Responsibilities:**

- **Budget management and compliance:** Oversee the financial and regulatory aspects of the operation.

- **Contractor operations:** Manage contractor performance to ensure the project runs smoothly.

- **Mining systems implementation:** Develop and implement robust mining systems to achieve production targets.

- **Safety & statutory compliance:** Maintain rigorous safety standards and ensure legal compliance across operations.

**Requirements:**

- **Experience:** A minimum of 10 years in opencast mining, with 3+ years as a Mine Manager (3.1 legal appointment).

- **Certifications:** Valid Opencast Blasting Certificate.

- **Advantageous:** Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency, a Mining Engineering Degree (NQF Level 7), and experience with OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001.

- **Skills:** Strong technical expertise in mining operations, contractor management, and regulatory compliance.
