# Electrician Job Opportunity – Permanent Position

**Reporting To**: Maintenance Manager  

Are you an experienced electrician with a passion for maintaining and repairing electrical systems in an industrial setting? Artscape is looking for a skilled individual to join our team.

## **Key Responsibilities**  

- Conduct inspections as per the maintenance plan to ensure equipment functionality.  

- Maintain workshop tools and assets within agreed standards.  

- Determine spare parts, materials, and special equipment needed to complete tasks.  

- Verify that machinery operates as per the designer's specifications.  

- Diagnose equipment breakdowns and conduct root cause analyses.  

- Test circuits and ensure the functionality of new electrical components.  

- Install electrical circuitry and emergency equipment.  

- Perform routine electrical tasks and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental (SHE) regulations.  

- Design layouts for integrated circuits based on engineering specifications.  

- Test and inspect all production equipment.  

- Complete logbooks, time sheets, and other required documentation.

## **Educational & Experience Requirements**  

- **Education**:  

  - Grade 12 (Standard 10)/N3 equivalent qualification.  

  - Wireman’s License (essential).  

- **Experience**:  

  - 3-5 years of relevant post-trade experience.  

  - Proven experience in programming and working with PLCs (advantageous).  

- **Skills**:  

  - Strong computer literacy skills.  

  - Flexible and willing to work overtime when needed.  

- **Other Requirements**:  

  - Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
