## **Candidate Profile and Core Competencies**  

### **Educational Qualifications:**  

- Basic literacy and numeracy skills (read, write, and perform simple arithmetic in English).  

- High school diploma or equivalent (NQF Level 4).  

### **Experience:**  

- Valid driver’s license suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., **Code B** for passenger vehicles, **Code C1** or higher for larger vehicles).  

- Public Transport Permit (essential).  

- Minimum of **1-2 years** of proven driving experience with a **clean driving record** (no recent violations or accidents).  

- Experience driving **manual and automatic vehicles** (preferred).  

### **Skills and Competencies:**  

- Defensive driving skills for safe operation under varying road and weather conditions.  

- Basic vehicle knowledge (refueling, tire changes, basic maintenance checks like oil and brakes).  

- Navigation skills, including familiarity with local routes, maps, GPS systems, and landmarks in Namibia.  

- Strong time management skills to meet schedules and deadlines.  

### **Personal Attributes:**  

- **Professional Appearance:** Tidy and presentable for customer interactions.  

- **Reliability and Punctuality:** Strong work ethic and adherence to schedules.  

- **Attention to Detail:** Ensures vehicles are clean, damage-free, and meet company standards.

## **Additional Requirements:**  

- **Physical Fitness:** Ability to lift light to moderate loads (e.g., luggage, vehicle tools).  

- **Medical Clearance:** Fit to drive as per local health regulations.  

- **Legal Compliance:** No criminal record and familiarity with Namibian traffic laws.  

- **Customer Service Skills:** For occasional customer interactions (e.g., airport pickups).  

- **Language Proficiency:** Knowledge of local languages like Afrikaans or Oshiwambo is an advantage.  

- Certification in **defensive driving or safety training** is a bonus.
