We are searching for a passionate Upper Primary Educator who can inspire young minds, foster critical thinking, and encourage a lifelong love for learning. This role focuses on teaching Afrikaans as a First Additional Language (FAL) for Grades 4-7 and Natural Science for Grade 6, aligned with the CAPS curriculum.

### Role Overview


We are looking for a highly qualified Upper Primary Educator with experience in Afrikaans FAL and Natural Science. The ideal candidate will be an engaging educator who encourages students to think critically, works with learners of varying levels, and can maintain a positive and lively classroom environment.

### Key Responsibilities of the Upper Primary Educator


- **Lesson Planning and Delivery:** Create comprehensive lesson plans that align with the CAPS curriculum and promote core learning objectives.

- **Resource Preparation:** Develop and use various instructional materials and teaching aids to support learning goals.

- **Engaging Instruction:** Use diverse teaching methods to deliver interactive and inclusive lessons that cater to different learning styles.

- **Skill Development:** Foster verbal and written communication skills, and encourage students to develop critical thinking abilities.

- **Independent and Collaborative Learning:** Guide students to work effectively both independently and in group settings.

- **Assessment:** Prepare and administer curriculum-aligned assessments and maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and learner progress.

- **Parental Engagement:** Maintain open communication with parents or guardians to support student development.

- **Classroom Management:** Establish a disciplined, respectful, and supportive learning environment in line with the school’s ethos.

- **Report Writing:** Compile and present progress reports as required by the school's academic policy.

### Qualifications & Requirements


- **Education:** B.Ed. in Foundation Phase or PGCE in Foundation Phase.

- **Certification:** Professional SACE certificate.

- **Additional Requirements:**

  - Police clearance certificate.

  - Valid First Aid certificate.

  - At least 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role.

  - Strong computer skills to support digital teaching tools and record-keeping.
