### Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be a vital part of our team, responsible for maintaining and ensuring the reliability of critical mining equipment. Key responsibilities include:

1. **Maintenance & Repair**: Safely perform maintenance and repairs on underground machinery to ensure maximum reliability and uptime.

2. **Compliance & Safety**: Adhere to all engineering standards, the Mine Health and Safety Act, and specific mine regulations.

3. **Inspection & Reporting**: Conduct thorough inspections, complete checklists and job cards, and document all maintenance activities.

4. **Diagnostics**: Identify equipment faults and execute repairs independently.

5. **Housekeeping**: Maintain a clean and organized work environment in your designated area.

6. **Planning & Productivity**: Ensure that all work aligns with set productivity goals and safety protocols.

7. **Risk Assessments**: Conduct and document risk assessments to uphold safe work practices.

8. **Shift Work & Standby Duties**: Be available for shift work, overtime, and standby duties as needed.

9. **Technical Support**: Provide specialized support to engineering and production teams.

10. **Daily Checks**: Perform routine safety and maintenance checks on equipment.

### Requirements

- Relevant certification as a Mechanical Fitter

- Experience with underground mining equipment, particularly CMs and shuttle cars

- Strong knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act

- Ability to work shifts and extended hours as needed

- Independent problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
