#### Job Title: Maintenance System Specialist  

**Location**: Witbank, South Africa

#### Key Qualifications:

**Education**:

- Grade 12 Certificate

- N4 and Trade Certificate (Mechanical, Electrical, or Millwright)

**Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a planning environment, specifically within **Maximo** or **SAP**

- Experience in **Steel Manufacturing** or **Smelting Industry**

**Technical Knowledge & Special Skills**:

- Proficient in **Computer Literacy** with strong command of **Microsoft Office** tools

- Comprehensive understanding of **Reliability-Centered Maintenance**

- Expert in **Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance**

- Proven ability to manage and organize maintenance spares and purchase requisitions

- Strong analytical skills for **Reliability Reporting** and failure analysis

#### Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of plant equipment and systems. Your core duties will include:

1. **Maintenance Planning and Execution**:

   - Develop and implement effective maintenance plans for plant equipment.

   - Perform and oversee maintenance activities, ensuring efficient processes and timely interventions.

   - Maintain an up-to-date **Asset Register** for all units and monitor equipment health and functionality.

2. **Reporting and Documentation**:

   - Compile and submit weekly and monthly reports on asset conditions and plant availability to the **General Engineering Manager**.

   - Develop reports that highlight maintenance work, performance metrics, and system inconsistencies.

3. **Procurement and Cost Management**:

   - Handle purchasing and ordering of spares to maintain essential stock for maintenance operations.

   - Oversee short-term repair costs and ensure that all critical spare parts are available and accounted for.

4. **System Analysis and Problem-Solving**:

   - Perform non-routine analyses to identify and resolve system issues.

   - Evaluate system data for integrity and recommend corrective actions where inconsistencies are identified.

5. **Performance Monitoring and Support**:

   - Monitor maintenance workloads versus manpower availability.

   - Support team leaders with root cause analysis for equipment failures, assisting with problem-solving strategies.

   - Analyze asset performance data and identify trends to inform proactive maintenance actions.

- Ability to perform **standby duties** and respond to urgent maintenance needs.

- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with various departments and convey complex technical details to plant personnel.
