### **Qualifications and Requirements**

- **BSc in Agriculture** or a similar postgraduate qualification is essential.

- **AVCASA qualification** is advantageous, demonstrating knowledge in pesticide application and safety.

- Minimum **2 years’ experience in the citrus industry** with contactable references.

- **Excellent communication skills** in both Afrikaans and English, with the ability to build strong relationships with shareholders, management, colleagues, and suppliers.

- Proficiency in **MS Word and Excel**.

- Physically fit and able to perform farm-related tasks.

- In-depth knowledge of **pest and disease control**, citrus fertilization, irrigation, and international market requirements.

### **Key Responsibilities**

As the Field Officer at Magalies, your role will be essential in supporting the success of our shareholders’ citrus production. Key duties include:

- Conducting **daily farm visits** and offering expert advice on irrigation, fertilizer planning, pest and disease management, and more.

- Assisting shareholders with completing necessary **compliance documentation**.

- Collecting **soil and leaf samples** for analysis to provide valuable agricultural insights.

- Performing **farm audits** to ensure alignment with industry standards.

- Assisting Management with various operational tasks as needed.

- Consistently applying the **Company’s Food Safety Standards** to maintain quality assurance.
