### Job Title: Grade B ARU Security Officer – Goedehoop

We’re looking for motivated Armed Reaction Officers who are passionate about security and capable of handling high-stakes situations with skill and professionalism.

#### Key Responsibilities

As a Grade B Armed Reaction Officer, your primary responsibilities include:

- **Armed Response:** Provide immediate armed response to alarms and emergency calls, ensuring rapid intervention.

- **Patrolling:** Conduct thorough patrols of assigned areas to prevent and deter criminal activity.

- **Incident Management:** Respond swiftly to incidents, investigate suspicious activities, and provide on-the-spot security solutions.

- **Collaboration:** Coordinate responses closely with control room personnel for seamless incident handling.

- **Deterrence:** Maintain a visible armed presence to discourage potential criminal activities.

- **Reporting:** Prepare detailed incident reports and logs of patrol activities.

- **Conflict Management:** Use conflict resolution skills to defuse situations, prioritizing safety.

- **Threat Assessment:** Follow best practices in assessing threats and determining an appropriate response level.

#### Required Qualifications and Skills

To qualify for this role, you should meet the following requirements:

- **Educational Background:** Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.

- **PSIRA Registration:** Registered with PSIRA (Grade B or higher), specializing in Armed Reaction.

- **Firearm Competency:** SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate for Handgun, Shotgun, and Rifle.

- **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of experience in armed response or law enforcement.

- **Fitness:** High physical fitness, as the role requires quick responses and potential physical engagement.

- **Communication Skills:** Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

- **Driver’s License:** Valid South African driver’s license.
