### **Purpose of the Job:**


As a Registered Midwife at eMalahleni Private Hospital, you will provide **quality care** to both patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring a safe and supportive journey for every patient throughout their hospital stay. This role requires an individual who is dedicated to delivering compassionate care, while maintaining high clinical standards in a **dynamic maternity environment**.


### **Key Requirements:**


- **SANC Registration**: Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse and Midwife.

- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of post-qualification experience with a proven track record in a clinical setting, ideally within a private hospital environment.

- **Teamwork**: Ability to work effectively as part of a nursing team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

- **Communication**: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring smooth interaction with patients, doctors, and ward personnel.

- **Shift Work**: Willingness to work shifts based on the unit's requirements.

- **Continuous Development**: Committed to ongoing self-development and keeping up with the latest clinical practices.

- **Customer Service**: A strong customer service orientation, with a dedication to providing quality care and ensuring patient satisfaction.

- **Additional Qualifications** (advantageous): Advanced Midwifery training and a Diploma in Critical Care.


### **Responsibilities:**


- **Clinical Standards**: Maintain high clinical standards and provide safe, effective care to all patients.

- **Patient Records**: Accurately maintain patient records and documentation, ensuring all information is up-to-date and comprehensive.

- **Coordination**: Act as a liaison between patients, doctors, and ward personnel to ensure effective communication and care delivery.

- **Stock and Equipment**: Efficiently manage medical stock and equipment to ensure smooth operations.

- **Customer Satisfaction**: Contribute to patient satisfaction by delivering exceptional, personalized care throughout their hospital journey.
