### Key Responsibilities
As an Administrative Assistant / Cashier, your responsibilities will include:
- **Maintaining Store Records**: Keeping all store records, files, and databases accurate and up-to-date.
- **Customer Support**: Addressing customer inquiries, handling complaints, and providing timely feedback.
- **Product Knowledge**: Staying informed about product features, benefits, and promotions.
- **Sales and Inventory Management**: Managing sales, purchase, and inventory paperwork.
- **Transaction Processing**: Accurately processing sales, refunds, and exchanges.
- **Cash Handling**: Safely handling cash, credit transactions, and mobile payments.
### Desired Skills
To excel in this role, you should have:
- **Strong Communication Skills**: Excellent written and verbal abilities to interact effectively with customers and staff.
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong planning and time management skills to maintain store efficiency.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, and Point-of-Sale systems.
- **Product Familiarity**: Knowledge of furniture and appliances is an advantage.
- **Attention to Detail**: Accuracy in transactions and cash handling, along with strong basic math skills.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to adjust to changing sales environments, promotions, and store policies.
### Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- **Education**: Matric (Grade 12)
- **Experience**: Previous retail experience, ideally in a customer service or cashier role.
- **Skills**: Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- **Software Knowledge**: Familiarity with retail software and inventory management systems.
