**Are you a skilled media professional with a keen eye for detail?** Urban Brew is looking for an EPG Editor to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of Dumisa and One Gospel content. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the accurate and timely generation of programming information.
### **Purpose of the Role:**
The EPG Editor will be responsible for gathering, generating, and maintaining accurate and relevant programming information across Dumisa and One Gospel channels. The role includes writing and editing clear, concise program descriptions, preparing EPG files, managing key visuals, and communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.
### **Key Responsibilities:**
#### **EPG Generation:**
- Write program descriptions and synopses for all shows, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and consistency with the channel’s style guide.
- Accurately capture and update season and episode numbers for all shows.
- Edit synopses according to Multichoice’s character limits and requirements.
- Export and prepare EPG files from internal systems, and submit them to the relevant portals on time.
- Ensure EPG schedules are delivered in advance to internal stakeholders and clients, adhering to deadlines.
#### **Key Visuals Management:**
- Source key visuals from various departments (sales, production, creative) 30 days in advance.
- Verify the size, relevance, appropriateness, and resolution of key visuals.
- Ensure visuals meet Multichoice’s specifications for Catch-up and day-to-day programming.
- Track and follow up on missing visuals and report to the Channel Manager for action.
#### **Communication:**
- Convey information clearly in both written and verbal forms, ensuring messages are understood by internal stakeholders and clients.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders through proactive communication, aiming for an 85% or higher satisfaction rating regarding communication effectiveness.
#### **Reporting:**
- Track discrepancies in season and episode numbers on the EPG for One Gospel and Dumisa channels.
- Compile monthly reports analyzing the quality of synopses and programming information.
### **Qualifications:**
- Minimum Diploma in Media Studies, Communications, Languages, or a related field.
### **Experience:**
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on media programming or content management.
