### Job Overview
As the **Web and Digital Editor** for the Faculty of Health Sciences, you’ll play a key role in managing and enhancing FHS's digital platforms, including the Faculty's website and social media channels. You'll be responsible for creating, sourcing, and editing web content, managing digital campaigns, designing graphics, and monitoring community engagement. This role also requires analyzing FHS's online presence to identify improvement areas and implement solutions.
**Location:** Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Cape Town
**Contract Duration:** 18 months (with potential for extension)
**Annual Salary:** R330,335 (or R27,528 per month, based on 2025 rates)

- **Website Content Management:** Oversee website copywriting, editing, and uploading.
- **Social Media Marketing and Campaign Management:** Develop and manage social media campaigns to engage and grow FHS's online community.
- **Digital Communications:** Coordinate bulk email communications and digital outreach strategies.

### Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
#### Essential Requirements
- **Education:** Relevant NQF level 6 tertiary qualification (such as a National Diploma) in fields like web design, digital marketing, or communications.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 3-5 years in digital communications, marketing, and/or social media management, including web usability and SEO.
- **Skills:** Proven track record in:
- Website management, SEO, and digital marketing
- Website information architecture and social media development
